Aerodata has completed the Midlife Mission System Upgrade for two King Air B200 maritime surveillance aircraft for The Armed Forces of Malta. Aerodata delivered the surveillance aircraft in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

The upgrade has replaced obsolete components in the mission systems and also provided enhanced sensor capabilities.

The upgraded second aircraft was delivered in October 2022 to the Armed Forces of Malta.

The project is primarily financed through the Internal Security Fund (Specific Actions) 2014 – 2020 Sustainable Management of Internal Security by the European Union and it is co-financed with 80% from EU funds and 20% from the Maltese Government.
