The turning point in security policy also poses new challenges for the aerospace industry in northern Germany. Companies, politicians, and society are increasingly discussing how the industry should position itself amid the conflicting demands of its civilian roots, new defense requirements, and social responsibility.
The aviation clusters and initiatives of the northern German states are addressing this topic at the North German Aviation Forum. Under the theme “Challenges and opportunities for the aerospace industry in times of change in security policy,” the ninth North German Aviation Forum will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026, starting at 2 p.m. at the Airport Plaza Hotel.
The focus is on the following questions:
How are current developments in security policy changing the prospects for aerospace companies in northern Germany?
What role do defense activities play in competitiveness and location development and how can civil strengths be secured at the same time?
What economic opportunities have arisen from the change in security policy, particularly for small and medium-sized companies?
Registration for the 9th North German Aviation Forum is already possible here.
The 9th North German Aviation Forum is a paid event. The participation fee includes food and drinks. The official invitation with a detailed program will follow shortly. Before the official program begins, you will again have the opportunity to take part in various company tours. You will receive detailed information about this as well.
